Transak is a single integration to allow decentralised applications to receive fiat payments from their global user base. We do this by integrating banks, liquidity, payment methods and compliance under a simple widget. The product operation is somewhere between a crypto exchange and an international payments company.

This is a senior and core team role. It is also our first non-engineering full-time hire. It has a potential for high growth and to be managing large areas of responsibility and other team members within Transak. It will be a highly entrepreneurial role and will require hard work and an ability to self-manage and self-motivate.

You don't need to have experience with blockchain, crypto or decentralised applications to do this role. However you should be interested. You can read this to get up to speed.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute a playbook for launching Transak in new countries. This includes understanding the compliance and operations that are necessary to launch. It also involves building relationships with local council, banks, payment processors, liquidity sources and obtaining any necessary licences from regulators.
• Create and execute a playbook for integrating new business customers with Transak. We distribute our product by getting apps to integrate our API or widget. This playbook involves technical feasibility scoping, commercial agreements, KYB (know your business), technical integration and ongoing billing and support.
• Operating the product. This involves processing end user's KYC, reconciling fiat and crypto payments, triggering outgoing payments, handling disputes and customer support. N.b. this is a 24/7 job so you will need to create and share a rota for being on call with other members of the team (including Sami). The aim here is to automate as much as possible with code and to build an operations team to handle the rest.

You'll be good at this role if

• You have experience with building relationships with banks and payments companies
• You have experience with handling KYC and payment reconciliation operations
• You have experience with working in an early-stage and/or high-growth startup
• You are organised and enjoy building systems and framework for execution
• You have knowledge about and are interested in compliance
